The Slayers
The Slayers series is so extensive and huge that we had to split it up into two halves. This week, we’ll be talking about the movies and OVAs. Returning to the show is the Chu as well as Lina Inverse herself, Cynthia Martinez. Even after hearing us spoil the hell out of this series, you’re going to want to track down these DVDs and share them with everyone you know.
Slayers is one of the funniest anime series ever made.

I think it’s supposed to be its bat form. But still, it’s typical Slayers. They throw the weirdest shit at you when least expect it.

You guys did another great episode (like always), I wish I could have send my Naga’s laugh, but I don’t have a mic. Anyway, I love Slayers, it one of my favorite anime next to Cowboy Bebop.
I like all of Lina’s voice actors, they all do an amazing job. But I like Cynthia the most (I not saying that, cause she was on the podcast)

Yes, the commentary track featured Cynthia Martinez and Crispin Freeman. There was also a Crispin Freeman interview on the disc. My version may have been a special edition, since it came in a box set with the other movies.
Yeah, I think Cynthia is very underrated as Lina. I commented on her sounding younger, but I also feel that she brings more comedy to the character, especially during the high energy scenes. She’s extremely funny.
Now I have to go and get those OVA’s. You guys dropped a full on nostalgia bomb on me with this ep. Congrats on getting to episode 100. Here’s to many more and seeing what the latter half of Slayers everyone else came in on was like from your point of view. (as far as I’m concerned, Slayers wasn’t Slayers without Naga for Lina to bounce off of)
